Welcome to HOSHTEL99, with social and safe backpacker hostels in Pune and Delhi. Use these FAQs to quickly find details on check-in, booking, rooms, meals, and hostel rules.

Can I check in early?
Early check-in is possible depending on availability. Please contact the property manager one day before arrival to confirm.
Standard check-in: 1:00 PM. Early check-in window: 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Check-in before 7:00 AM is not allowed.
Can I check out late?
Late checkout is usually not possible due to housekeeping schedules. You can still relax in common areas and store luggage at reception.
Do I need to pay in advance?
Yes. We typically collect 50% advance payment to confirm a booking.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept UPI, credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers.
Can I cancel my booking?
Once a booking is confirmed, the advance payment is non-refundable.
Do you offer group discounts?
Yes, special discounts are available for group bookings. Please call or WhatsApp us for availability and pricing.

Are bedsheets and blankets provided?
Yes. Fresh bedsheets and blankets are provided for every guest.
Do you provide towels?
Yes. Towels are available on rent for INR 50 per stay (up to 2 days).
Do dorm rooms have lockers?
Yes. All dorms include large lockers and wardrobes with lock and key. Guests do not need to bring their own padlock.
Can I store luggage before check-in or after check-out?
Yes. Luggage storage is available both before check-in and after check-out.
Do you organize hostel events or activities?
Yes. We regularly run social activities so travelers and digital nomads can connect.
Is there a common area to meet other travelers?
Yes. All properties have social common areas, community lounge space, and work-friendly zones.
Is laundry service available?
Hoshtel99 Prime (Koregaon Park): paid laundry, automatic washing machine, and tumbler dryer.
Hoshtel99 LUX (Yerawada): laundry available free of charge, without tumble dryer.
Do you provide airport or railway station pickup?
No, we currently do not provide pickup or drop services.

Female Travellers
Do you have female staff available at the hostel?
Yes. While managers may change from time to time, the founder of Hoshtel99 is female and is actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the hostel. Guests can always reach out to her if they need assistance or support.
Are the female dorms located in a separate section of the hostel?
Female dormitories are separate rooms, but they are not located on separate floors.
Are the dorm doors locked at night?
Since dorm rooms are shared spaces, it is not recommended to lock the door from inside, as it may inconvenience guests arriving late. However, if all occupants of the dorm agree and are already inside, the door may be locked from the inside.
Is there 24-hour reception or security?
We do not have dedicated security staff, but a night manager is available on request to assist guests with any late-night concerns or issues.
Are the bathrooms shared with male guests?
No. Female dormitories have their own private washrooms, so they are not shared with male guests.
Are sanitary products available nearby?
Yes. Guests can ask at the reception counter, and we will guide you to nearby options or help arrange them if needed.
Is there proper lighting around the hostel at night?
Yes. The hostel premises and surrounding areas are well-lit at night for guest safety and comfort.
Do female dorms have privacy curtains for beds?
No. We intentionally do not install privacy curtains, as they often lead to hygiene and maintenance issues such as food spills or misuse.
Can female guests request a lower bunk bed?
Yes, guests can request a lower bunk bed, but availability is limited to about half the dorm capacity. Lower bunks are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and we usually do not accept advance reservations for them.
Is there a place to safely dry clothes inside the hostel?
Yes. Guests can use the open terraces to safely dry clothes.
Are hair dryers available?
Yes. Hair dryers are available in each washroom.
Are mirrors and dressing areas available?
Yes. Large mirrors are available in each dorm room for guest convenience.
Is makeup or grooming space available?
Yes. Guests can use both the washroom and the dorm room for grooming and makeup.
Are there lockers big enough for handbags and valuables?
Yes. Our lockers are large and spacious, suitable for storing handbags and valuables securely.
Are there female-only hostel activities or meetups?
Most hostel activities are open to all guests and mixed-gender, rather than female-only events.
Is the hostel located in a safe neighborhood?
Yes. Our hostels are located in one of the most upscale, lively, and well-connected areas of Pune.
Can I request a room close to the reception area?
Yes. Guests can request rooms closer to the reception area, and we will try to accommodate the request depending on availability.
Are taxi or ride services easily available from the hostel at night?
Yes. Guests can easily book taxis or auto-rickshaws using apps like Ola, Uber, and Rapido. Vehicles usually arrive very quickly with minimal wait time.
Are there restrictions on alcohol consumption inside dorm rooms?
Yes. We maintain a strict no-alcohol policy across all our properties, including dorm rooms and common areas.
Do you provide travel advice specifically for solo female travelers?
Yes. Our team is always happy to help. Feel free to ask us anything, and we will gladly provide travel tips, safety advice, and local recommendations.

Do you provide breakfast or food?
Yes. We have an in-house paid food facility at Hoshtel99 Prime (Koregaon Park), LUX (Yerawada), and Delhi (Gujarat Vihar).
Is there a kitchen guests can use?
Yerawada property: guests can use a separate kitchenette.
Koregaon Park property: kitchen access may be restricted when the chef is using it.

Can I bring visitors to the hostel?
Yes, visitors are allowed in common areas until 8:00 PM. Non-resident guests are not allowed inside dorms or private rooms.
Are unmarried couples allowed?
Yes. Unmarried couples are allowed to stay at Hoshtel99, subject to valid ID verification.
Is alcohol or smoking allowed?
Alcohol is strictly prohibited inside hostel premises. Smoking is allowed only in designated smoking areas.
What ID do I need at check-in?
All guests must provide valid government-issued photo ID at check-in. For international guests, passport and visa details are required.
